I'm here! I'm here!
I'm buried in class prep. I've had intermittent wireless connectivity issues since the weekend and it's driving me insane! Add to those two things a nagging, almost-there-but-not-quite sinus headache and you have where I am today. Ugh!
At least Cheryl did my nails today. I love her. I wanted something racy, but had to settle for sedate given the luncheon tomorrow. However, if I'd have known the law firm sponsoring the luncheon was going to not interview me, I'd have said "Screw it!" and painted 'em purple. I went with Krem de la Kremlin when I really wanted something darker and bolder.
M1 had a great first day at school even though there is only one third grade class at her school this year. There are 25 kids total. I was horrified at that thought -- I mean, if I wanted her in a class with over 20 kids, I'd just let her go wherever. What really made me mad is that we had NO indication from the school that this was even a possibility. I don't like surprises. M1's teacher is apparently a stickler for discipline and M1 LOVED that. Where some kids were freaked out, she was energized. I'm thinking her teacher reminded her of good ole Mom.
Hubs has been working like a dog the past two days. He's on vacation from work, but doing heavy labor in our yard. He's removing the rotted out timbers from around our flower beds and replacing them with those cool (and heavy!) landscaping brick things. I'll post photos when he finishes. It's going to be gorgeous!
Oh! I received word today that I wasn't selected for either of the interviews with the two heavy-hitting law firms. I'm sure they saw my class rank percentage and pitched my paperwork given that I'm not in the magic percentage. I cannot WAIT until they meet some of the people who are in the magic percentage. Yes, there is something to be said for grades. However, after having been in the real world before, there is also something to be said for having good common sense, being able to make conversation on a topic other than role-playing games, and taking personal hygiene seriously. I'm sure there will be a job for me; even if I don't suddenly shave 10 years off my age and grow a penis.
I'll leave you with that image.
Back to studying Remedies...and dreaming about my next manicure. Boris and Natasha, anyone?!
Oh, I do hope you manage to avoid growing a penis! It would totally throw off the SpouseBUZZ dynamic and give Toad too much competition.

Don't worry. I refuse to give in to the overwhelming pressure to swap genders. LOL

On the job front, I am sure you will find the right job for you, without the need for gender reassignment. The right employer will appreciate the fact that you are a wee bit older and female.
And I have to say that my all-time favorite OPI color is I'm Not Really a Waitress. :D

I think that color is either a favorite of my manicure buddy, Beth, or our manicurist. I KNOW I've heard that name before! LOL Maybe I'll have to try it on for size?
