In my spin around the blogosphere today, I read a post at Pot and Kettle that I wanted to bring to you.
The family of CPT Rob Yllescas (injured in Afghanistan just a month ago) face heart wrenching and painful decisions regarding his care. From the initial post detailing the phone call no military family member wants, but all dread to the most recent post with tentative hopes of a hurdle overcome, it's a quick, but overwhelming read. The part of the initial post that focuses on Rob's wife talking to their daughter about her daddy's injuries made me tear up for sure...I can't honestly imagine even though I HAVE imagined.
It's a shame that a family would have to put a reminder at the masthead of the blog to tell visitors that it's a support blog for the family and not a place to post political sentiments or otherwise. Some people have no common sense.
I thought I could encourage you to visit and post an appropriate comment from which the family could draw some strength. It's a good way to spend a few minutes on this Sunday.
