I know in this age of terrorism, war and our own personal stresses, our prayer lists are long. However, I am a firm believer in the power of holding someone's name in prayer and the comfort that knowledge can bring to the person who needs it.
Andrea Shay-King of Constitutional Radio whose radio show has helped so many wonderful causes including military blogging in general, Soldiers' Angels and the Rolling Victory Fast posted about one of her faithful listeners and chat room participants whose blog I read and whom I enjoyed meeting on-line on a few occasions.
It seems Third Wave Dave is in need of some prayers. Andrea posts that he has been diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. This condition is brought on by a chromosomal abnormality that affects 1-2 people per 100,000 and accounts for 7-20% of all leukemia cases.
I know I can count on all my readers to put Dave on their prayer list and hold positive thoughts for him as he undergoes testing and treatment. Dave is an amazing presence on-line so I imagine him to be even more of a presence in person.
Dave, we're here and we're rooting for you! Andi is right...we ARE a "virtual" family and I hope you know we all have your back.
