Christian Persecution Continues.

Forewarned is forearmed and I like to share things that make my eyes bulge or my mouth gape.  And, if it does both AND I shake my head in disbelief, you BET I'll be bringing it to you.

Michelle Malkin has a comprehensive post complete with imbedded video involving the impending executions of three Christian men in Indonesia.

Please make sure, if you read nothing else, that you take the time to read this article from NRO.

I'm sure the mainstream press avoids talking about such atrocities perpetrated against Christians because they spend an inordinate amount of time wondering how to avoid offending Muslims.

What I'm starting to wonder is when we, decent people/human beings/Americans/Christians/take-your-pick, will say ENOUGH.  Frankly, I'm offended we aren't there yet.

Interesting post. It's outrageous that these accused terrorists aren't even receiving a fair trial. Imagine how the are treating the men in captivity?

At least as a nation, we can claim the moral high ground. Under Bush we would never torture or detain accused terrorists without providing them a fair trial. Oh, wait ...

"Accused terrorists". Did you even READ the posts or are you just one of the pathetic trolls wandering the internet leaving comments on sites and demonstrating not only your inability to read, but also your inability to form a cogent response?

Either way, thanks for the chuckle.

I'm sure someone can help you google for a literacy program in your area to help you with reading comprehension.

Melinda,

Good point. According the second article Malkin cites (Catholic World News) --
the three Christians "were found guilty of masterminding a massacre of 200 Muslims in Poso during inter-faith clashes in 2000."

So they are actually convicted, not accused terrorists. Silly me. Now it is all clear. Of course convicted terrorists deserve rights and protections from the Geneve Convention.

Under the orders of Bush and Rumsfeld America just tortures and indefinitely detains accused terrorits.

Your point makes perfect sense: Accused terrorists deserve no rights and should be tortured. Convicted terrorists should have full protection of international law.

Fine logic.

Actually, Brian, that wasn't my logic at all. I suppose I'm going to have to spell it out in a new post.

Sure do wish Typepad offered a drawing feature.

Oh, and by the way, the reference I make to "atrocities perpetrated against Christians" refers to the NRO article cited in the paragraph preceding the reference which I thought was fairly self-evident, but apparently not so much.

BS. You saw that Christians were facing the death penalty in a muslim country, and you didn't even bother to read the article, because you're a bigot.

If Christians are being killed, even if they are mass-murderers, you're outraged. If Muslims are being killed, you wouldn't think twice.

James,
You and Brian should take your psychic friend gig on the road. Eventually, you'd have to be right about your so-called "knowledge" of people you don't know. Statistics and all.
