If This Is "Peaceful", I Believe I'll Pass...

You know me, kids.  Not much more can fire my ignition than hearing about hate being proffered by supposedly peaceful individuals and groups, or those who oppose the war or my FAVORITE, those who oppose the war but support the troops.

Here are some of the stories catching my attention that should sufficiently raise your blood pressure this morning too.

First up, Michelle Malkin posts about a uniformed National Guard soldier who was beaten by a group of punks who piled out of an SUV, on a city sidewalk, in broad daylight.  It's unfathomable to me, even today, that this antiquated response from punks ("Baby killer?!?"  Good grief.) is tolerated.  If there were such a thing as a hate crime, as Michelle Malkin astutely points out, this would be textbook.  Imagine if you will a group of uniformed National Guard soldiers piling out of an SUV grabbing a smelly anti-war protestor and beating the granola-laden crap from their innards?  Or if the punks discussed in the news stories had piled out and grabbed a gay couple walking down the street, hurling nasty names while they pummeled them?  I know, I know it's hard to believe that this story could take place in the enlightened and educated Pacific Northwest, but try to hold back your shock.  This is the ONLY time I wish that my pepper spray and I were in Washington State...oh, wait...in reading the story more closely, I see that the driver of the SUV had a handgun.  Hmmm...seems I learned in crim law something about responding to deadly force with deadly force being an A-Ok response. 

Next, we have the lovely tale of publicity wh*res whose cause lacks legitimacy on a level unparalleled in modern times.  Don't believe me?  Well, let's just take a little quiz.  The single question is this:  Name ONE event/initiative that Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink have embarked upon that has NOT depended upon someone else's legitimacy?  Go ahead and think about it...I'll wait.

What's that?  Mother Sheehan has legitimacy?  Sorry.  Wrong.  Her SON is the one who sacrificed after voluntarily joining the military and opting to participate in a mission that took his life. 

You want to try again?  You say Code Pink and some other moonbats are headed overseas to discuss peace?  Do you think that might be because Code Pink donated over $600,000 to the terrorists overseas that they deem "freedom fighters?"

Huh?  Oh, RIGHT...the "Bring the Troops Home Fast."  Yeah, they REALLY stuck to their guns on that one.  Once their realized their favorite accomplices, the mainstream media, wasn't paying attention (not to mention that they couldn't stop stuffing their faces with everything from milkshakes to Jamba Juice), they gave up.  If you want legitimacy, join the Rolling Victory Fast.

There you go.  Three strikes and you're out.  Yet again, true to form, the anti-American activists have sought out a legitimate event and an uber-legitimate group of individuals to glom onto to try and suck out whatever publicity they can for themselves and their band of big mouths.

Thank goodness there are people who have no interest in allowing the merry bands of weirdos to continue unchallenged.  Hats off to the family of Marine CPL Adam Galvez whose message is as clear as can be.  And to the others who will be participating in a Support the Troops Rally in Salt Lake City.
