Reason #652 Why Public Education Isn't for Us
Honestly. Do I have to write ANOTHER letter today? After reading Michelle Malkin's latest, it seems I might. She links to a post at Freedom Folks where Mexitude is defined and outlined. Can you believe that in AMERICA there are schools banning the flying of Old Glory? The latest today is that a Colorado middle school has banned any clothing that could be construed as "patriotic" as well as those made from camouflage fabric.
Excuse me?
Gotta tell you this makes me LIVID. You have girls with the cracks of their rears hanging from their pants, muffin top guts flopping over their waistbands, and more available cleavage than at your local Hooters restaurant and you're going to BAN tasteful attire because it's red, white and blue? Additionally, boys with their pants around their knees treating us to a full scale view of they dingy boxer shorts rate over a kid who wants to wear BDU replicas?
GIVE ME A BREAK.
I can't imagine any self-respecting parent looking at that type of school district and allowing their children to remain. If you don't think you can afford a private school, think again. If you don't think you're qualified enough to homeschool your kids, take a look at the brain trusts you're sending them off to each day...could you do WORSE?
Stop the ACLU has more...can it be the ACLU will land on the correct side in this issue?? (audible gasp)
yes, this story had me talking out loud last night... I can understand banning NON-American flags and attire... but THIS IS AMERICA AND THIS IS OUR FLAG AND THESE ARE OUR COLORS. If they are offensive to you, there's the door... No one's making you stay. Really.

This really makes my blood boil Melinda. My child would not be attending that school district.

it is just awful, isn't it? i'd be the bad mom who would get my kid suspended by making sure they wore a flag shirt! ;)
