Let Your Voice Be Heard
Okay. Really. Enough is enough already.
Michelle Malkin has the latest on what politicians in Washington are doing to sell our nation down the river.
It's time to send a very clear message to Washington, D.C. before it's too late. I encourage you to do so today. Contact the White House via any and all the methods provided.
I have already composed my e-mail and I'll share it with you:
President Bush,
I am writing as someone who tirelessly supported you in both your bids for Presidency in a very hotely contested (home state name). I still have the W'04 sticker on my back window, but each day that passes I am coming closer and closer to finding the Goo Gone to remove it. You and others in the Republican majority are making it very difficult for law abiding citizens like myself to continue to support you.
As a military wife, my heart swelled with pride when you frequently outlined what you, as Commander-in-Chief, were willing to do to protect America's citizens and the sovreignty of our nation. The thrust of those speeches is always "doing the right thing", "upholding the law" and carrying our your obligations under the Constitution. I am encouraging you to consistently apply those principles to everything and not just those that do not pack a punch in increasing the voter rolls.
The idea that millions and millions of people who have flagrantly disrespected the laws of our nation would be given a pass makes me very angry and extremely sad. It might be "hard" to make people obey our laws, but as you've said before on other matters, doing the right thing isn't always easy. And, I find it completely unacceptable that one group, because they have insisted on breaking the law in numbers that grow exponentially each year, will be the ones reaping the benefits from the impending amnesty portion of any immigration bill.
It is your job to secure the border and make sure our nation remains secure. I suppose it is within your prerogative to refust to do so and leave that job to private citizens in border states. We are very mild-mannered people when it comes to causes, however, in our home we will begin saving our extra cash to donate to projects like the Minutemen so that we can guarantee the sanctity of our nation for our children and their future.
Please reconsider what you are doing.
Respectfully,

The time appears to be now. A huge majority of Americans are against what is being discussed and considered in DC. Add your voice to the chorus. We are a nation of laws and if we aren't...well, take a look around the globe to see our future.
My teenage daughter and I have had numerous conversations about this issue and the bottom line I always have to come to is...they are here illegally. What part of that don't people understand? I explain to my 15 year old "No, you can't drive because it is illegal until you have a license" but yet she hears this nonsense! Doesn't seem too difficult to understand. Illegal = illegal period.

I'm with you on this one. The RNC called me the other night to ask me a few questions. The poor phone center person ahd to deal with my ire as I informed her I would not be voting Republican is they can not get their act together on illegal immigration, and quick.
