I've Been Too Muddled

This week has had me too discombobulated to post regularly.  I think it began when I read a very disturbing article associated with the rapes of European women at the hands of gangs of young Muslim men.  Apparently, being unveiled (mind you, these women aren't even Muslim), talking, singing, or laughing are reason enough for these throwbacks to the Stone Age to attempt to put you in your place.

If this weren't enough, Yale University has admitted to its student body a former Taliban spokesman who has no better than a 4th grade education.  Michelle Malkin offers a taste of what some are doing in protest of this unbelievable administrative decision as well as follow-up coverage of some Yalies' letters to the alma mater.

I marvel yet again at the "women's movement" and their lack of response to these very real, very obvious attempts to oppress women.  It reminds me of the deafening silence which accompanied Bill Clinton's disgusting behavior while he was in office (all offices...pick one...he displayed sexually repulsive behavior in each one he ever held) and impresses upon me why the word "feminist" in its current form isn't anything with which I'd like to be associated.

I used to be so thankful that my daughters were born in a country where this kind of violence against human beings, especially women, would not be tolerated.  I used to look at the hallowed halls of some the US's finest institutions and think how wonderful it was that they represented ideals upon which our country was founded.  And, I was always thankful that I had parents who NEVER spoke to me in terms of what I couldn't do as a woman, but in terms of what I could do as a person.

I think, however, that should this whole idiotic idea of sharia law and dhimmitude take any more hold than it already has in our country, then it's worth offering a fair warning to those who may find the name of my street offensive.

After reading the article on the violence being committed by young punks in the name of their supposed God, I immediately went to the gun safe in my home.  I requested a walk through from Hubs about the finer points of one of our firearms.  We are also making an appointment for my firearms safety and training class.  Until then, let me just say this:  I know how to load it, I know how to aim it and I do not flinch.  Let me say a quick thanks to Angie Dickinson as Police Woman and Jennifer Garner in Alias as well as my gymnastics coach who taught me that visualization is a good form of training so your mind can prepare your body to do things it's never done in this lifetime.  Also, thanks to my home state for two precious words:  Conceal.  Carry.

I am also putting a taser on my Christmas list for this year.  It will make a nice little addition to my "I wore a veil once in my life and that was enough so get off my lawn" arsenal.  Our ancestors didn't serve and die and our young men and women are not serving and dying now to have the future of our nation handed over to a bunch of elitists snobs who are more than happy to provide a haven for 7th century-minded terrorists.

I'm starting small and saying not for me.  Not in my house.  Not on my street.  Not in my town.

Soon, I'll focus on not in my state.  Not in the midwest.  And, finally, we'll go for the gusto and make sure it's known...

Not. In. My. Country.

Not today.

Not ever.

Not as long as I have a breath and even one in the chamber.

I own 2 handguns and I can load them, aim them and fire them. Give me six shots and I will alternate 3 to the chest and 3 to the head. Not in my home. Not in my town. Not in my state. Not.in.my.country.

thanks, M.

I am with you all the way.

My Daddy taught me to shoot to kill - no second chances are guaranteed.
I'm with ya!
